SEOUL BLOG 2016 DAY 4: Seoul City Tour and Shopping in Hongdae, Ehwa University and Gangnam Underground Center

Our fourth day is meant for shopping which I really like. It was supposed to be DMZ tour but it was not available on that date so we just dedicated the day for Seoul City Tour.

Our first stop is the Gyeongbokgung Palace. I had a little research before going there so I became some sort of Tourist guide of my family. We also sneaked out of the group guided tours who are speaking in English at no extra charge. ha! ha! ha!

Happy Family

Next, we went to Bukchon Hanok Village. It was too sunny that day and the place is uphill so only some of my family members went up and just had a short photo sessions.

During lunch, we ate at one of the famous restaurants in the area called Tosokchon. We ordered Samgyetang. To be honest, I didn't really like it that much. Maybe, I'm just used to the Filipino porridge style soup and I'm not a fan of the taste of ginger.

Afterwards, we went to Hongdae. The shopaholic in me came to life as me and mom strolled the area. The place has a very youthful vibe and I knew that my personality automatically fits the surroundings. It was chaotic, there were performers on the streets, shoppers, k-beauty addicts and lots and lots of photos and advertisements of famous K-pop groups and actors/actresses. I didn't expect that Seoul is not as expensive as Japan.Western shops such as H&M and F21 has also stores in there but not as big as that in Myeongdong. You can buy a lot from here such as street food, beauty and skin hauls, socks, shoes, clothes, etc.. almost EVERYTHING a girl is looking for. (Click here for my shopping haul blog)

Shopping with mommy at Hongdae
Since I consider myself a shopping enthusiast on a budget, I asked my mom to take a cab and we went to Ehwa University. based on my research, this place has one of the cheapest bargains for girls' stuff. True enough, it was a shopping haven. Unfortunately, we had a very limited time and we didn't have a wifi connection at that time(the wifi egg was with my other brother). But still, I got some cheap goodies.

On our way to Gangnam

Our last stop is the Gangnam Underground Shopping Mall. This place is my favorite shopping mecca. It took us 1.5 to 2 hours via taxi before reaching the place. It's a huge place similar to 168 Shopping Mall in Divisoria, only better. Most of my stuff I got here and I will feature my haul on another post (click here) which you dont wanna miss. If you are in Seoul, make sure to check this one out. You'll get lost but that's part of the thrill.

Boyfie #2 : Gong Yoo

I bought a lot in this store, SOul

Apparently, stripes is a trend in Korea so I got a similar one for me. Check my Shopping Haul

If you think you want to shop more but  you can't carry everything anymore, try depositing your bags in of the lockers for just a few wons.

After almost 4 hours in Gangnam, we went back to Myeongdong and just left our shopping bags to our Hotel then went out again for another shopping. This time, we went to a nearby grocery to buy some korean food items. (Click here for my Korean Food Haul)

Today was a lot of fun! Shopping is life! I hope you had fun too as much as I did.

xoxo,
Krish

KOREAN BEAUTY AND SKIN CARE HAUL 2016

Before I went to Korea, I did a lot of research for Korean Beauty and Skin care products. That was the start of my addiction to YouTube and other K-beauty websites. I've been so addicted that I allocated 40% of my shopping money for it (It used to be 100% Clothing and Fashion Budget).. I'm not even vain and I didn't have any skincare products until I went to Seoul last September.  We stayed in Myeongdong and we were surrounded by k-beauty stores. Imagine, in front of our hotel is Etude house, beside us is the biggest Nature Republic and Club Clio.like OMG!!!! I am writing this blog by brand instead of by category.  First, let me start with NATURE REPUBLIC. People have been raving about this Aloe vera soothing gel but unfortunately, my skin did react while using this product so I just gave it to my brother. The Soothing Mist on the other hand works well but I just put it on my hair instead on my face.  The ARGAN line is a must have. Until now, I stil...

Bloggers United 3

It was my first time to attend the Bloggers United Event. For quite some time, I am getting so addicted with blogging. At first I was just a fan who follow other people's blogs but eventually, I decided to make my own write ups.The first people that I followed were Camille Co, Kryz Uy and Laureen Uy. Then, after some time, I have known some more fashion bloggers who are real fashionistas in their own right. Actually, we all are! It's just how you carry yourself even if you go "Ga-ga" sometimes.  I was so happy with the event yesterday at Grand View Events Place. There were a number of sponsors and all my favorite bloggers were there. I am so excited to show you guys my photos with them. I wish I could be like them in the future(ehem!)I'm so sorry for the arrangement of the pictures. I'm having a hard time getting the pictures move into it's right places... ugh!  with Liz Lanuzo with Gela Bestie   with David Guison with Bjorn...

How I Did my Dream Euro Trip for less than P200,000 (All-in)

How I Did my Dream Euro Trip for less than P200,000 (All-in) Planning your first Europe trip needs a lot of work. Mine, I planned for a year before finally fulfilling it.  First, you have to know what kind of traveler you are and which places do you prefer going to. Do you enjoy going to museums? Do you like drinking and partying? Do you prefer walking or riding different public transportations? You might think, do I really need to think about these things? For me, ABSOLUTELY YES!!! The reason is that Europe is expensive (if you compare their currency with Philippine Peso) and if you are on a tight budget like me, you have to make sure that you will get your money’s worth. Of course, it’s also another set of adventure if you don’t want to plan too much and just go wherever your feet takes you. But for me that’s not really an option. I only had 2 weeks to travel and as a female solo traveler, I had to make sure that my safety is my utmost priority. Also, since I ha...
