Korea Shopping and Clothing Haul 2016

I'm a self-proclaimed shopping enthusiast on-a-budget. I love shopping, traveling and just experiencing different cultures. Visiting Seoul is one my favorites so far. It has a youthful vibe similar to my personality. It was fun, very chill and very quirky everywhere you go.

Shopping is one of the many reasons why I enjoyed Korea. Although the trip was short, we tried to squeeze in some shopping. Here are the things I got from our trip and the price range so you can use as a guide on your next trip (I'll still try to recall the price range). The currency is either in Philippine Peso or Korean won.

Let's start with the items I got from OPM Mall in Dongdaemon. It was late already so we only had an hour to stay in this Mall at around 1:00 am. This place has one of the nicest and cheapest in Seoul.

I bought this white top for $10,000 KRW. Almost all the clothes in Korea cost from 10k-15k KRW for an average top or shirt. Not really cheap but really good quality as compared to Thailand clothes.

Next is this maroon button down skirt that I bought because the saleslady kept on insisting me to buy it. I knew it was one size smaller but she's really makulit so I eventually gave in. I still wonder how and where I'm gonna use it again. I gained another kilo.. Goodluck naman!

Another skirt I got is this floral skirt for $10,000 KRW. It's supposed to be a pasalubong for my Granny but I changed my mind when I got home and bought her another one instead. haha..

This long sleeves with an over-sized bow cost $25,000 KRW or roughly Php 530-600. The quality is really good. I wore this in one of our company's major events, many people really liked it. Plus, it's so noticeable because of the big bow. hahahah.. Also, I saw this same top in a shop near Ehwa University for around $45-50,000 KRW. That's when I thought, I made the right decision of buying it at Dongdaemon.

Next are the items I got from Hongdae! It's a cool place for youngsters and young at hearts. Most of the items I bought here are from Play Ground, a korean clothing store for skaterboys I guess? haha.. They had a sale when we went there and got some goodies for $3,000 to $5,000 KRW only.

Korean shopping wouldn't be complete without these cute socks from Hongdae for only $10,000 KRW for 10-12 pairs.

Next stop was Ehwa University. I forgot to take a solo photo of the pants but I bought it in this store for $12,000 KRW. My mom also bought a gray one of the same design.
Blue pants I bought for $12,000 KRW
I also got this jumper for $12,000 KRW which didn't fit me at all. To date, this is still brand new. Im thinking of giving this to my niece instead.

Anyway, let's go straight to my top favorite shopping mecca in korea - the Gangnam Underground Shopping Center. It's not that big but you will get lost for sure coz there are lots of stores selling cheap clothes and other stuff in this area. My mom and I really enjoyed this place so much to the point that we asked my brothers to go back in our hotel in Myeongdong while we shop here for additional 4 hours. lol..

First item is this Red dress which I pair with a white shirt. I just dont have anything like this so I got one.. and yes, my current favorite color is maroon. hehe..

Next are these office pants I got for $10,000 KRW each. Very cheap and good quality.

This light blue top is one of my favorites. It's very light and perfect for the humid weather of the Philippines.

Last shopping haven is the Myeongdong Underground Shopping Center and the Myeongdong Shopping area. This is where I spent the rest of my money as we were set to leave the next day.

I get a lot of compliment when I wear this white top because it looks like I have an jacket on my shoulders. The quality of it is thick and perfect for "bed weather" but not suitable for summer because well, sobrang init sa Philippines!hehe..

I got this for a total of $25,000 KRW together with this red plaid longsleeves. Plaids are not really my style but since I don't have anything like that, I bought it. hahaha

If I remember it right, I think I got this striped long sleeves for $6,000 KRW or roughly Php 282.00.

This pink skirt I got for less than $5,000 won. Super cheap!

Last is this cap I bought just beside the Rib Cheese Restaurant in Myeongdong for only $12,000 KRW.

I hope you liked this loot as much as I did.

xoxo,

KOREAN BEAUTY AND SKIN CARE HAUL 2016

Before I went to Korea, I did a lot of research for Korean Beauty and Skin care products. That was the start of my addiction to YouTube and other K-beauty websites. I've been so addicted that I allocated 40% of my shopping money for it (It used to be 100% Clothing and Fashion Budget).. I'm not even vain and I didn't have any skincare products until I went to Seoul last September.  We stayed in Myeongdong and we were surrounded by k-beauty stores. Imagine, in front of our hotel is Etude house, beside us is the biggest Nature Republic and Club Clio.like OMG!!!! I am writing this blog by brand instead of by category.  First, let me start with NATURE REPUBLIC. People have been raving about this Aloe vera soothing gel but unfortunately, my skin did react while using this product so I just gave it to my brother. The Soothing Mist on the other hand works well but I just put it on my hair instead on my face.  The ARGAN line is a must have. Until now, I stil...

Bloggers United 3

It was my first time to attend the Bloggers United Event. For quite some time, I am getting so addicted with blogging. At first I was just a fan who follow other people's blogs but eventually, I decided to make my own write ups.The first people that I followed were Camille Co, Kryz Uy and Laureen Uy. Then, after some time, I have known some more fashion bloggers who are real fashionistas in their own right. Actually, we all are! It's just how you carry yourself even if you go "Ga-ga" sometimes.  I was so happy with the event yesterday at Grand View Events Place. There were a number of sponsors and all my favorite bloggers were there. I am so excited to show you guys my photos with them. I wish I could be like them in the future(ehem!)I'm so sorry for the arrangement of the pictures. I'm having a hard time getting the pictures move into it's right places... ugh!  with Liz Lanuzo with Gela Bestie   with David Guison with Bjorn...

How I Did my Dream Euro Trip for less than P200,000 (All-in)

How I Did my Dream Euro Trip for less than P200,000 (All-in) Planning your first Europe trip needs a lot of work. Mine, I planned for a year before finally fulfilling it.  First, you have to know what kind of traveler you are and which places do you prefer going to. Do you enjoy going to museums? Do you like drinking and partying? Do you prefer walking or riding different public transportations? You might think, do I really need to think about these things? For me, ABSOLUTELY YES!!! The reason is that Europe is expensive (if you compare their currency with Philippine Peso) and if you are on a tight budget like me, you have to make sure that you will get your money’s worth. Of course, it’s also another set of adventure if you don’t want to plan too much and just go wherever your feet takes you. But for me that’s not really an option. I only had 2 weeks to travel and as a female solo traveler, I had to make sure that my safety is my utmost priority. Also, since I ha...
