Clothes Buffet Manila (Season 1)

While browsing on my facebook page, I came across a promotional campaign about this Clothes Buffet thingy back in July and I got really really curious about it. I’m a self proclaimed shopaholic and I know that this is going to test my shopping skills. I read a lot of blogs, been in love with Google, Instagram, youtube and other social networking sites wherein I can get updates to this amazing event. And then, I found their main website and voila.. few minutes later I was already asking my girlfriends to go with me and swipe our tickets using my credit card which I agreed to be paid on our next pay day. Wahaha... J

I’m a type of shopper who is more concerned with the quantity rather than quality of clothes. I’m that type na madaling magsawa (if you know what I mean.. hahaha).. My reason is that.. umm.. well, andame na bagong uso.. like almost every week, my favorite online shops will post new designs and I don’t think there’s a need to buy something expensive when there are lots of other stores offering the same design at lower cost and almost the same quality..Girls, it’s a Strategy!!! Buy all you want and get more of them.. yay! J This buffet experience is a mix of getting those quality/high end branded clothes for a fixed amount. It will now all depend on your shopping abilities how you will manage to get as much amount clothes with so limited time.

So for those who are still not familiar on how Clothes Buffet works, it’s a type of shopping experience wherein you can grab all you can for 15 minutes from the 30,000 pieces of branded clothes and make them fit inside a 33 cm (height) by 23 cm (width) plastic bag. You might think that this bag won’t fit a lot, but BELIEVE me it DOES!!! J

Photo grabbed from www.clothesbuffetmanila.com
So my friends and I waited for almost 2-3 months for this and finally, the wait is over! We found ourselves inside the Ariato Penthouse at Il Terrazo Plaza in time for the much awaited buffet experience. We booked for the 2nd wave on October 18 at 10:20 AM to be exact.

Five minutes before our time, we were asked to go inside the venue while the 1st batch is on their last few minutes of folding and sorting out clothes. Well, it’s a mixed feeling. We got to see and strategize how they do their shopping but it kinda created the pressure and I felt I was going to faint out of nervousness.(OA lang?! Hahaha).. So for those asking, yes, may timer po.. those TV screens you see on the photo below, these are all "timers" wherein you can easily monitor your remaining time.. For me, na nagset up ng alarm sa cellphone ko? It's useless.. hahaha..

The photo below is the shopping area. Basically, the room is divided into 3 categories: Festival Madness, Girls' Night Out and Smart Chic.

Tip: Just keep roaming around. Don't just focus on one category just because you're a party goer coz for sure, you'll get a lot more precious pieces on other racks with sizes more fitted that you. At first you might be disappointed with the kind of clothes you will "initially" see.. but again and again believe me, those perfect pieces are just hiding on all the corners of the room.. Just be patient looking for them.  :)

It only took me about 8 minutes grabbing all the clothes I want and tried to fit them inside my bag for the remaining time.Take a look at my finished product.. spell H-A-P-P-I-N-E-S-S?! Lol

A picture of me and my loots.. Happy Happy Girl! :)

KOREAN BEAUTY AND SKIN CARE HAUL 2016

Before I went to Korea, I did a lot of research for Korean Beauty and Skin care products. That was the start of my addiction to YouTube and other K-beauty websites. I've been so addicted that I allocated 40% of my shopping money for it (It used to be 100% Clothing and Fashion Budget).. I'm not even vain and I didn't have any skincare products until I went to Seoul last September.  We stayed in Myeongdong and we were surrounded by k-beauty stores. Imagine, in front of our hotel is Etude house, beside us is the biggest Nature Republic and Club Clio.like OMG!!!! I am writing this blog by brand instead of by category.  First, let me start with NATURE REPUBLIC. People have been raving about this Aloe vera soothing gel but unfortunately, my skin did react while using this product so I just gave it to my brother. The Soothing Mist on the other hand works well but I just put it on my hair instead on my face.  The ARGAN line is a must have. Until now, I stil...

Bloggers United 3

It was my first time to attend the Bloggers United Event. For quite some time, I am getting so addicted with blogging. At first I was just a fan who follow other people's blogs but eventually, I decided to make my own write ups.The first people that I followed were Camille Co, Kryz Uy and Laureen Uy. Then, after some time, I have known some more fashion bloggers who are real fashionistas in their own right. Actually, we all are! It's just how you carry yourself even if you go "Ga-ga" sometimes.  I was so happy with the event yesterday at Grand View Events Place. There were a number of sponsors and all my favorite bloggers were there. I am so excited to show you guys my photos with them. I wish I could be like them in the future(ehem!)I'm so sorry for the arrangement of the pictures. I'm having a hard time getting the pictures move into it's right places... ugh!  with Liz Lanuzo with Gela Bestie   with David Guison with Bjorn...

How I Did my Dream Euro Trip for less than P200,000 (All-in)

How I Did my Dream Euro Trip for less than P200,000 (All-in) Planning your first Europe trip needs a lot of work. Mine, I planned for a year before finally fulfilling it.  First, you have to know what kind of traveler you are and which places do you prefer going to. Do you enjoy going to museums? Do you like drinking and partying? Do you prefer walking or riding different public transportations? You might think, do I really need to think about these things? For me, ABSOLUTELY YES!!! The reason is that Europe is expensive (if you compare their currency with Philippine Peso) and if you are on a tight budget like me, you have to make sure that you will get your money’s worth. Of course, it’s also another set of adventure if you don’t want to plan too much and just go wherever your feet takes you. But for me that’s not really an option. I only had 2 weeks to travel and as a female solo traveler, I had to make sure that my safety is my utmost priority. Also, since I ha...
