First Timer's Europe Trip Itinerary for 2 Weeks

Europe has always been a DREAM destination for most of us, including myself! After my trips in Japan and South Korea, that's when I realized that I'm more of a city girl than a beach type of traveler. Although I enjoy chilling in beaches, I sometimes find it boring after a while.

I find joy in visiting new cities, looking for cheaper options for shopping, walking around town and looking for good stuff such as tasting their local food, trying out new activities and meeting new people. For those who already know me, I like to talk A LOT!!! I like to share my own experiences and listening to stories of my fellow travelers as well. The one thing I found the most interesting in solo traveling Europe is that I got to meet a lot of people from different continents.

Here is the summary of my First Europe itinerary for 15 Days.

Travel Highlights:

1. PARIS (3 Days)

Must-haves:
  • Get a Navigo Pass at the train station upon arrival in Paris (This is applicable for those who will be staying for 4-7 days in Paris)
  • Disneyland Paris Pass (ordered via Klook)
  • Museum Pass (ordered via Klook)

On my very first day, I decided to go to Disneyland Paris. It has always been my dream to go to all the Disneylands in the world and Paris will always be part of that list. After Disneyland, I took one train ride to Le Marais Shopping Street which is home to designer brands outlet stores.

For Day 2, I went to Château de Versailles early in the morning. One pro-tip is to always arrive 30 minutes to one hour earlier than the attraction's opening time. I arrived at around 8:30 am and the lines are not as packed as when you arrive at 10:00 AM. Versailles is quite a ride from where I'm staying at that time (in Montmarte area) which is why I decided to have my breakfast inside a small cafe in Versailles Palace.

After almost 1-2 hours, I decided to go Trocadero to have a better view of the Eiffel Tower. Ofcourse, to better feel the ambiance of the area, I bought myself a Savory crepe while watching the Eiffel Tower. Honestly, I think I stayed longer in Trocadero than in Versailles. I just really enjoy people watching and just staring at such a beautiful sight of Paris.

The next day, I went straight to Louvre Museum at 8:00 AM and I was 4th in the line, amazing! I just really hate falling in line for hours which is why I always want to come early. As a reward, you could avoid  photo bombers on most of your photos.  Anyway, you could easily spend half day in Louvre if you are a fan of Museums. I think I prefer it than Versailles but that’s just my personal take on it. Afterwards, I walked towards Arc de Triomphe which is just across The Louvre and walked towards the Jardin De Tuileries. From here, you can walk straight along the Sienne River and just see the Eiffel Tower in all its different views.

Since I had more time, I also went to Monmarte area which is just very near my hostel. Monmarte is such a quaint neighborhood and you will surely enjoy the view even if you just stroll around the area. One of the famous landmarks here is the Sacre Cour and Plaza de Terter. There are lots of Parisiene restaurants in here as well as boulangerie which serve freshly made croissants and desserts. During dinner time, I went near The Notre Dame church and ate at Onze Bar and rewarded myself a classic Parisian steak with rosé. I highly recommend this restaurant simply because the waiter is very nice and accommodating and even gave me a discount and some freebies. For this meal I spent 15 Euros which is not bad for a full course meal!

Highlights of my Paris Trip:
• Disneyland Paris
• Palace of Versailles
• Louvre Musuem
• Eiffel Tower view in Trocadero
• Walk aling Sienne River
• Monmarte Area

2. AMSTERDAM (2 Days)

Must haves:
• Sandemans’ Free Walking Tour Reservation

The travel time from Paris to Amsterdam is around 7-8 hours by bus and I spent almost an entire day in the bus which is not bad because I got to have a stop over at Antwerp, Belgium. The perks of traveling during the day is that you are going to enjoy the view and you won’t really mind the long journey.

On my first full day, I joined Sandemans’ Free Walking Tour and met Rutnie from Malaysia! She was so nice that she brought me to her family lunch and even invited to visit inside a buddhist temple in Amsterdam. During the night, we were accompanied by her Aunt Kium to stroll around the Red  Light  District as well as have wine and watch a band perform at a bar.

The next day, I went to Rijks Museum. Right beside it is the I Amsterdam sign where you will see a lot of people taking photos. Even though it was raining, I managed to take some nice photos and walk along the museums nearby. I did not go inside as I am not very fond of museums. I just strolled around the area and walked straight to ____ for lunch. After that, I went back to the Red Light District and spent some time in a café with a hot chocolate and bread. I found it so relaxing to just sit there and watch people in the area. On my last night, I went to this Italian restaurant and tried their psta cooked on a cheese wheel. It costs a whooping 25 euros which I don’t think is worth the money but I can definitely tell that there are a lot of other restaurants who serve delicious food.

Highlights of my Amsterdam Trip:
• Red Light District
• Amsterdam Free Walking Tour

3. BARCELONA (2 Days)

Must haves:
• Sandemans’ Free Walking Tour Reservation

I took a plane for my trip to Barcelona since it is quite far from Amsterdam. I arrived around 9:00 am in the morning and I immediately left my luggage inside my hostel and went to Cerveseria de Catalana for lunch. To be honest, this is just a few steps from my hostel and they serve some of  the best tapas in Barcelona. In all of Europe, I love the food the most in Barcelona

After my lunch, I joined my free walking tour And learned a lot of history in the ___ area. Afterwards, I just shopped in nearby Mango and Zara Outlets as gifts for my loved ones. During dinner, I visited a Kuya Glenn’s church and had dinner with his family at a filipino restaurant. He then toured me along Plaza de espanya and went to the top of the Mall.

On my second day, I had breakfast at ___ and had churros and hot chocolate. It was really really good and I think it was the best churros and hot chocolate I have ever tasted in my life. Like it is seriously that good!!! After eating, I visited the Sagrada De Famiglia and took a lot of pictures there. I alsofound 1 euro magnets being sold by illegal vendors which is already very cheap for Europe.

I also had a mini hike and went to Park Guell and saw Gaudi’s other art works which are super facinating! No winder why architecural students are being advised to go there because his creations are really outstanding!

For lunch, I went back to the city and walked from Las Ramblas to La Boqueria where I had seafood platter! It costs me 25 euros but I think it is really worth the price considering it is fresh and served as a platter already. I also had strawberry covered with chocolates for dessert. Honestly, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Yum!

That was my last night and I planned on having dinner somewhere fancy. Unfortunateky, I could not find a place anymore so I went back to Cerveseria de Catalana and ordered almost everything I want to eat there.

My flight the next day was at 7:00 am so I had to be in the airport 2-3 hours before my departure. That means Inhad to leave my hotel at around 3:00am which is quite a walk to the bus station. To be honest, that was the first time that I got scared traveling as I was walking in the middle of darkness carrying my luggage And praying that no bad person will approach me. Thankfully, nothing bad happened. As I check-in inside the airport, I saw a Tapas bar and I just had to eat tapas again one last time because I love it so much!

Highlights of my Barcelona trip:
• Tapas Food Trip
• Sandemans Free Walking Tour
• Sagrada de Famiglia
• Churros and Hot chocolate at ____
• Gaudi’s works of art

4. MUNICH (2 Days)

I rode a plane from Barcelona to Munich. From the warm weather of Spain, I was surprised to have witnessed the first day of Winter. It was Autumn when I came there in October and the temperature has dropped from 20ish degree celcius to 2 degrees. Like OMG I was only wearing a t-shirt and Pantswithout my heat tech on.

Upon arrival, I immediately checked-in my luggage to my histel and took a quick lunch before my Sandemans’ Free Walking tour at 1:00 pm. During my trip, I met 2 travelers named Kat and ___. They were canadians and were so nice to treat me snacks at a nearby Pub. I’ve tasted the best beer ever where Munich is known for. I also went to Rewe which is a german supermarket and bought chcolates for my loved ones. If you want to save money, chocolate is the best option to bring home and supermarket is the go-to place to get then.

On my second day, I availed of the Neuchwanstein Castle tour of Klook. I can proudly say that this
has been the highlight of my entire trip. It was my first time seeing the German Alps and somehow “wintery” mountains. It was my first winter though it did not snow. I’ve always been an aspiring disney princess and seeing real-life castles just made the experience surreal. The neuchwanstein castle was the inspiration for Disney’s Cinderella Castle. I was literally crying when I reached the top because I got very emotional fulfilling a child hood dream.

The Alpsee is a jaw-dropping scenery which felt like I was in Switzerland already since Munich is very close to Switzerland. Again, I got emotional again and cried because of how brautiful it is. For this trip honestly, I did not take as much pictures that I should have taken. Why? Because I wanted to ser the world through my eyes and most of the time, I forget to snap a photo in my camera just because it feels really good to just stare at them and just live thethat exact moment.

Hughlight of my trip:
• Neuchwanstein Castle and Bavaria Castle Tour
• Sandemans Free Walking Tour

5. PRAGUE (2 Days)

From Munich, I took a bus to Prague which was a 7-hour ride. Here, we stopped over because there were Police men honwill check for your passport and visa so be sure to take your passport and all important documents with you even when traveling by bus because sometimes, there are inspections.

Anyway, I arrived at around 2:00 in the afternoon and the first thing I did was I looked for a money changer in the city. Good thing I watched a lot of You Tube videos and found one as recommended by “The Honest Guide” Yonik  and ____. Since I am so fond of their Prague videos because the are local czech people, I also went to their restaurant recommendation at ______ for my first meal in Prague.

During the night, I hiked to ______ to see a bird’s eye view of Prague. It was a bit dark but being I was pretending to be brave and still went for a clinb. Honestly, Prague is a safe city despite being touristy.

The next day, I joined again a Sandemans’ Free Walking Tour and brought my room mate with me, Jessy. She’s such a cool girl and we spent the entire day strolling around the streets of Prague. We shared a Prague icecream which is very delicious.

At night, we were back to the histel and fortunatelt, our hosted a pub crawl so we joined. I just grabbed a kebab  near our hostel  and joined  the rest of my hostel mates in the pub crawl. Europe being Europe where you will find the best beers in the world, here Europe is not complete without smellingbthe weed wherever you go. I didn’t like the smell but even if you don’t smoke the weed, you will definitely smell them and Pubs are an automatic venue for that!

HIghlights of my Prague Trip:
• Sandemans’ Free Walking Tour
•Charles Bridge
• The astronomical clock
• Prague’s sky at night (Very Harry Potter)

6. ROME (3 Days)

The last leg of my trip was in Rome. Since I arrived late in the afternoon, I went to Colosseo and spent and a few minutes there before taking my dinner at a restaurant where I read a lot of good reviews in Trip advisor. Unounately, most of the restaurants in Rome need to be reserved ahead of tine and I was stravingvalready so I ended uoneating at a nearby restaurant near my hostel. I think it was a blessing in disguise because it is a family owned-restaurant and this is where I tasted the best carbonara in my entire life (Sorry mom, that was really good but I still love your carbonara!)... to complete the meal, I paired it with a wine just because Rome will not be complete without it. Hihi..

The next day, I went straight to ____ to pick up my Rome and Vatican pass I purchased via Klook. To be really honest,  it was a complete waste of money and I don’t really recommend one if you are spending a few days there. I wasn’t able to maximize the use of it because of the rainy weather and I went on a holiday (Nov 1st). A mpart from tourists, locals are also everywhere in the city so you can imagine how many people line upnfor every attraction. Ifnyou follownmy instagram stories, you will know how I hate Rome. Hahaha..

Anyway, the one thing I enjoyed the most (apart from Carbonara) was the walk to ____, The Pantheon and the Spanish steps. I think Rome  is beautiful during the day but it felt like a cemetery during the night. If you have more budget and wants to buy luxury items, the stores near the Spanish steps is a great place for you. But if you are a cheapo like me, people watching is the best thing you can donun that area. I did my shopping at _____ street and I found stores that sell suoer cheap clothes at a very good quality.

During lunch, I went to That’s Amore as recommended by my friend, Ate Lucy, and I ordered the seafood pasta! Oh gosh it qas really good and the pasta is really al dente! You should really try it!

I also met with my college friend, kuya Francis and his boyfirend at ____ and had Pizza there. It was great catching up with good friends after a long while.

On my last day, I went to Coloseo and ___ early in the morning and I was one of the first to er the vicinuty so got photos of me without a crowd. Amazing!!! But me being me who is not cery fond of history (unlike my mom), Ibjust stayed there for an hour and went to a shopping mall which is quite far from the city. Hahaha..

I was given a 2:00pnm slot for The Vatican but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go in because of the number of people lined up.m and Injust didn’t have the luxury of time to line uonthere as I need to leave my histel at 5Pm to catch my plane to Manila. So there, I wasnt able to use use my Rome and Vatican Pass maybe because of the timing while I was there. Sondonyour research ahead of tine to make sure you can maximize the use of it. Kr better yet, just don’t buy the passes. Europe has a lot of free attractions and youbcan do everything hust by walking. You don’t really need to buy transportation tickets.

Anyway, just before hopping in to my plane, Insaw a Ramen place in the airport and the Asian un me kicked in as I missed Asian foods. Sorry Europe, Asia is still my big winner when it comes to food and Inwill not trade Ramen for Pasta! Hahaha.. but Gelao is still my number one dessert which I always get at Venchi at almost every after my meal! It’s that good I kid you not! Hahaha.

Highlights of my trip:
• Walk to the Spanich steps, Pantheon
• Fountain
• Shopping at ____

KOREAN BEAUTY AND SKIN CARE HAUL 2016

Before I went to Korea, I did a lot of research for Korean Beauty and Skin care products. That was the start of my addiction to YouTube and other K-beauty websites. I've been so addicted that I allocated 40% of my shopping money for it (It used to be 100% Clothing and Fashion Budget).. I'm not even vain and I didn't have any skincare products until I went to Seoul last September.  We stayed in Myeongdong and we were surrounded by k-beauty stores. Imagine, in front of our hotel is Etude house, beside us is the biggest Nature Republic and Club Clio.like OMG!!!! I am writing this blog by brand instead of by category.  First, let me start with NATURE REPUBLIC. People have been raving about this Aloe vera soothing gel but unfortunately, my skin did react while using this product so I just gave it to my brother. The Soothing Mist on the other hand works well but I just put it on my hair instead on my face.  The ARGAN line is a must have. Until now, I stil...

Bloggers United 3

It was my first time to attend the Bloggers United Event. For quite some time, I am getting so addicted with blogging. At first I was just a fan who follow other people's blogs but eventually, I decided to make my own write ups.The first people that I followed were Camille Co, Kryz Uy and Laureen Uy. Then, after some time, I have known some more fashion bloggers who are real fashionistas in their own right. Actually, we all are! It's just how you carry yourself even if you go "Ga-ga" sometimes.  I was so happy with the event yesterday at Grand View Events Place. There were a number of sponsors and all my favorite bloggers were there. I am so excited to show you guys my photos with them. I wish I could be like them in the future(ehem!)I'm so sorry for the arrangement of the pictures. I'm having a hard time getting the pictures move into it's right places... ugh!  with Liz Lanuzo with Gela Bestie   with David Guison with Bjorn...

How I Did my Dream Euro Trip for less than P200,000 (All-in)

How I Did my Dream Euro Trip for less than P200,000 (All-in) Planning your first Europe trip needs a lot of work. Mine, I planned for a year before finally fulfilling it.  First, you have to know what kind of traveler you are and which places do you prefer going to. Do you enjoy going to museums? Do you like drinking and partying? Do you prefer walking or riding different public transportations? You might think, do I really need to think about these things? For me, ABSOLUTELY YES!!! The reason is that Europe is expensive (if you compare their currency with Philippine Peso) and if you are on a tight budget like me, you have to make sure that you will get your money’s worth. Of course, it’s also another set of adventure if you don’t want to plan too much and just go wherever your feet takes you. But for me that’s not really an option. I only had 2 weeks to travel and as a female solo traveler, I had to make sure that my safety is my utmost priority. Also, since I ha...
